Rapasadi & Sons is primarily a "repackager". The company buys onions and some potatoes from growers and ships to stores and wholesalers from Maine to Florida. Their product goes as far west as Ohio, and they have exported to Western Europe and Puerto Rico. Offering eight varieties of onions, seven varieties of potatoes and three varieties of garlic, the companies best seller is medium yellow globe-shaped onions. They are picked up from the growers and dropped at one of Rapasadi's three buildings. The onions are then cleaned, sorted, graded, sized and packaged into 1-,2-,3,10- or 50 pound bags and shipped. |
